  • Andrew MacKinnon #Forever15

Today marked the one year anniversary of the tragic passing of young Andrew MacKinnon. Andrew was a key member of our Salvesen Blues 07 team and is loved and missed by all of those involved. When reminiscing on times had with Andrew team captain and friend Rory Panther said “I remember a training session when a ball had gone over the fence and into a garden, Andrew was doing the most random and funny things possible to get the owners attention and get the ball back. He was so fully focused on getting the ball back that he’d completely forgot about the game going on around him!" Our thoughts and prayers are with Andrew’s family and friends during this difficult time. #Forever15

  • Away days 2010s Vs Longniddry Villa

Salvesen 2010s 21/1/24 Salvesen embarked on a journey down the A1 to confront the formidable Longniddry Villa in today's match. Right from the kick-off, Salvesen showcased their prowess, delivering fluid football that quickly earned them a two-goal advantage. The dynamic duo of Leon Farmer struck first at the 13-minute mark, followed swiftly by Ruben Steedman's goal at 15 minutes. Despite Salvesen's dominance in the first half and their unfortunate encounters with the woodwork, the match concluded with a well-fought draw. • An Update on the Salvesen Project and the Success of the Salvesen Brunch

Dear Friends and Supporters, I hope this message finds you well. Firstly, I extend my sincere apologies for the delay in updating our website; it's been an incredibly busy period for me, juggling both work commitments and the Salvesen project. Despite the challenges, I'm thrilled to share some exciting news with you. The Salvesen brunch was an overwhelming success, and I'm delighted to announce that we managed to raise an impressive £4680 after covering all expenses. This achievement would not have been possible without the tremendous support from our community. Our distinguished speakers, George McNeil, John Robertson, and Jim Leishman, were in fine form, regaling us with their experiences in football and athletics. A special mention goes out to Gary McKay, Jim (Bomber) Brown, and Boobs Brown for their unwavering dedication and hard work in reaching out to teams from previous eras. Their efforts played a crucial role in making the event a memorable one. The function saw the presence of numerous ex-professional players, many of whom had once donned the Salvesen jersey. It became evident, through conversations with these former players, how vital it is to preserve Salvie's rich history and continue developing players and teams that can compete at the highest levels. The present committee is committed to reviving the glory of those halcyon days. As we move forward, our focus remains on preserving the legacy of Salvesen, nurturing talent, and fostering a community of dedicated individuals passionate about the beautiful game. We are grateful for your continued support and look forward to the exciting journey that lies ahead. Thank you for being an integral part of the Salvesen family. Warm regards, Graham Buckley Chairman
